Northampton Country Club stands as a living testament to a legacy that has flourished for well over a century. Since its establishment in 1898, this cherished place has woven together time-honored traditions and new innovations, earning itself a reputation as a sanctuary for golf enthusiasts. The heart and soul of Northampton Country Club is its uniquely crafted 9-hole golf course. Spanning a remarkable 6,156 yards with a par of 70, this course presents a challenge, especially on the formidable 4th hole. With a mere 200-yard tee shot from the tips, players face a sharp dogleg right, leading to a green that seemingly nestles in the middle of a condominium complex. Over the years of our storied Club Championships, only a few of our most skilled players have dared to aim for greatness by carrying their tee shots beyond the towering oaks to reach a green 348 yards away—an audacious attempt that reflects the course’s character.

From its inception as a collaboration between Smith College students, faculty, and local leaders, Northampton Country Club has become a beloved institution. Its journey has seen its share of ups and downs, like any century-old business would. The captivating backdrop of the remarkable clubhouse frames the 9-hole course. Being within the small village of Leeds, our club has been a cherished spot for both members and guests alike.
